About Membership

Our members continue to work in a wide variety of organisations, ranging from NHS hospital trusts (teaching, acute, community, mental health and district general hospitals), to NHS Employers and Health Education England. Members are working individually or as part of large departments such as medical recruitment teams.

Our members can be working in dedicated departments focussed solely on medical personnel and medical staffing issues; in larger human resources teams dealing with all grades of staff including doctors or in postgraduate centres where the focus is the education and training of doctors.

Our members come from a broad background of experience and career paths. Many have started working in general recruitment for example, moved to medical staffing, enjoyed it and not looked back. Others have chosen to work in a medical staffing environment to gain different experience and a more rounded understanding of the NHS. Many of us have moved into medical staffing from more operational roles or worked in medical staffing before continuing to bigger and better things

In short – NAMPS is a broad church, open to all.
